Third year and final graduation project at school.
We had to create two looks; one being a tailored silhouette and another involving a geometric element.
My main theme and inspiration was the jellyfish and its environment. Transparency, fluidity and organic were my main directions.
My first look is a tight-fitting dress adorned with pearls and sequins while creating a pattern that recalls something organic as well as the jellyfish. Then I choose the circle as a geometric element, cut in several layers of tulle then split in the middle and sewn on a continuous on a piping. The garment comes along a slip dress dyed by hand in a teal color -slight reminder to the water.
The second look includes a coat, a bustier top and a pair of pants. The coat has a yoke of transparent tulle on the top and gathered pockets on each side as well as gathers on front and back. The coat is fully lined. The pair of high-waisted pants have plenty of irregular cuts in a wavy shape and lace yokes. The pants has only one pocket on the left side and a invisible zipper on the right side. It has a flared cut. The pattern has been drafted with Lectra and came along with a technical file.
